July 3
Today we had 6 teens with a lot of old people; ARCAC's upstairs space was packed! Everyone had to watch out for swinging arms...
Coming across the floor:
Soul singers Maggie Rene and Layla, with back-up by Gerri and Sally. Smooth moves by Diana, Maria, Ben, and Zach.
Randy and Pam work out some of the choreography
'Yo Tengo' with the big group was interesting; some of the dancers had never done it before, and it's a long (for us) sequence of steps. Randy was, as always, patient in the extreme.
We then tried moving like a blob...all at once, while waving arms and stepping side to the side, to the front, to a diagonal. Next we played follow the leader. No photos of this yet; too busy trying not to swat someone with an errant arm.
Break time:

Avro Part piece:
No words needed!
July 5
No little sub-tropical storm can stop DITTA dancers! 8 seniors, plus Randy, Pam, and Maggie Rene showed up on Saturday. Never mind the wind and rain, the downed trees, power lines, and closed roads, the 140,000 Nova Scotians without electricity; we came, we danced, we roared with laughter at Jerri's 'lap' dance with Maggie Rene. Here's the video link:

In the meantime..
