Another opening, another show, another standing O!

august 21

Opening night!  We arrived at 2 pm for a Teen Angel dress, then got to watch  Mocean's dress for the elegant Canvas 5 x 5.  Because there are 19 in the Teen Angel cast, we used the old Post Office building across the street from the theatre as dressing and green room.

Pam had carefully instructed us to enter the theatre through the stage door, by the boardwalk, not through the lobby door, where the audience was coming in.  When the places call came, the ever-attentive teens made a bee-line for the lobby!  Pam let fly a $%#%$%! as the ever-obedient seniors trooped to the stage door.
What is it about 'stage door' you didn't understand?
What a difference an audience makes!  We even wow-ed ourselves!  The audience laughed, clapped, a few got teary eyed, and in the end they gave us a standing ovation.  Then it was over In the blink of an eye....until Saturday....

The teens were well supplied with eye-liner, lip gloss, mascara, eye shadow, and blush.  The seniors had some make-up too, but most of it was 25 years old!

Several of the senior angels are early morning tai-chi-ers on the wharf.  Because Pauline and grand daughter Diana were doing a radio interview with CBC One at 8:10 am, Nat brought the Beetle to the wharf, and turned up the radio so we could listen!  They gave a wonderful interview on Teen Angel and Diana managed to name all three businesses she has summer jobs with!
